We want the ymiLIVE site to be a place where people are respectful of themselves and others, including the intellectual property rights of others. <br /> <br /> These Guidelines present some common-sense rules to keep in mind for users, and a few additional rules for Group Leaders below. You should also take a look at the detailed rules in the <a href="/site/guidelines/terms-of-use.html">Terms of Use</a>.</p> Guidelines for Everyone http://www.ymilive.org/site/guidelines/guidelines-for-everyone.html 2010-01-29T14:07:30Z <ul> <li><strong>The Online Golden Rule.</strong> Conduct yourself on the ymiLIVE site with the same Presbyterian values that you would when dealing with someone else in-person.</li> <li><strong>No Bullying or Intimidation Allowed.</strong> There is zero tolerance for abuse, bullying, predatory behavior, stalking, threats, harassment, invading privacy, or the revealing of other members' personal information. Anyone caught doing these things may be permanently banned from the ymiLIVE site.</li> <li><strong>Respect Copyright.</strong> Only upload original videos that you or your youth group made or that you have obtained the rights to use. This means don't use content in your videos that does not belong to you, such as music tracks, snippets of copyrighted programs, photographs or videos made by other users, without the consent of the copyright holder. And respect the copyright of the materials others post on the site, as well. We want to hear your music and see your creativity.</li> <li><strong>The Age Rule.</strong> If you&rsquo;re under 13, we want your parent or guardian to know that you are using the ymiLIVE site. We hope that the ymiLIVE site will be the type of Christian community that you can be proud of showing to your parents, and that your parents will be proud to have you use!</li> <li><strong>Freedom of Speech.</strong> We encourage free speech and defend everyone's right to express unpopular points of view. But we have no tolerance for hate speech, which is content intended to attack or demean, among other things, another based on a particular gender, race, religion, ethnic origin, lifestyle, veteran status, color, age, disability or nationality. Your use of the site can be terminated for speech or conduct of this nature.</li> <li><strong>Other Inappropriate Content.</strong> This should be obvious, but the ymiLIVE site is not for pornography or sexually explicit content, or other inappropriate content.</li> <li><strong>Keep It Safe.</strong>&nbsp; Keep your own personal information, such as your address and telephone number, private. <a target="_blank" href="http://www.ftc.gov/kidzprivacy/">Check out the FTC&rsquo;s safety tips for kids here</a> for more tips.&nbsp;</li> <li><strong>Let Us Know.</strong> If you run into something posted on the ymiLIVE site that doesn&rsquo;t seem appropriate to you, please let us know and we&rsquo;ll try to take care of it. We have the right to take down any content at any time that violates these guidelines or is otherwise offensive for any reason.</li> </ul> <p><br /> Please take these rules seriously and take them to heart. The idea is not to look for loopholes, but to understand and respect the spirit in which these guidelines were created. Please keep your group membership lists up-to-date so that the right people have access. Especially where a competition is concerned, we want everyone to have a fair playing field!</li> <li>Safety of Members&rsquo; Personal Information. You&rsquo;ll be collecting personal information from your members as you&rsquo;re registering a group for the first time, or when adding a new member. Please keep that personal information safe and partner with us in protecting members&rsquo; privacy.</li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p>
